About Us:

We're the "Allen Sisters". Penny and Theresa Allen.
We were born and raised on the small Southeast Alaskan island of Wrangell, as were many generations of our family before us. We've been singing since we were old enough to talk.
In 2002, we went to Nashville, TN to record our first album, “Stickeen River Country”. We got lucky and found one of the best recording studios, HillTop Studios. We went back to do our second recording there in 2005, “Jump The Waves”.
The staff at HillTop was extremely helpful, and the musicians were the best you can find.
Our CD’s were duplicated in nearby Drasco, Arkansas at Raney Recoding. The staff there is also very helpful, and did a great job on our CD covers.
We really loved visiting Tennessee. It’s a beautiful and very friendly state. We hope to go back there when we record our third album.
Recently, we've signed up with a digital distributer, CD Baby, who carries our CD's on their site, and gets our music out to other sites such as iTunes, Napster, MSN Music, emusic, etc... (for a full list, see the order page).
We've been doing a little jamming here and there, and performing for local events, but living on a small island in Southeast Alaska, it's kind of hard to make it out to any large venues. We have managed to make it to Terrac, BC for the Riverside Music festival a few times (and hope to go back this August), and also made it up to the Alaska State Fair in Palmer this year.
